Version 0.21 Released


Hello! This update adds some new features & bugfixes. Here's a changelog:

  • Added Replay Mode (can change costume on replaying a level, currently No Suit & Always Suit) & Minimal Mode (replay level with no suit, restricted to melee attacks only)
  • Added Product Catalogue, featuring entries on different enemy & weapon types
  • Added contributions by TheFoxyDragon, who contributed new radio dialogue, helped with the catalogue entries, did playtesting & provided general project consultation
  • Radio messages now stay on screen for a variable length of time depending on their length, which can be adjusted with the Message Speed option in Gameplay Settings
  • Added Radio Log, which records all radio messages & sorts them into Priority & Chatter channels
  • Added raycast to stop interactables working through floor(!)
  • Added a system to prevent shots being blocked by the environment
  • Fixed clipping in first person mode
  • Added more quality settings & made UI playable at lower resolutions
  • Added FPS counter option
  • Added mouse inputs to control rebinding
  • Tweaked Reduce Head Bob to further reduce X/Z movement & made it on by default (can still be turned back off under Gameplay Options)
  • Tweaked crate & barrel stats to make them easier to break in melee
  • Doubled interact distance for levers
  • Made Constant Weapon Order option save correctly

Version 0.3 will likely take over a month to complete, so I wanted to get something out in the meantime. Thanks to TheFoxyDragon for their help with this release!

By the way, what stage has your game been updated?

I'm still hoping to get 0.3 out by the end of the year. I've had a lot of personal problems that prevented me from working on it very much, so there's still a lot to do. Thanks for your patience!

May I ask, how long until your next update?

It might be a while. I'm working on adding a lot of stuff, and the pace has slowed a little bit. I will also be working on an entry for the WeightGaming game jam this month so that'll put a bit of a dent in it, although at least there will be another game to show for it. There will definitely be an update by the end of the year, unless something goes terribly wrong.

There is a door on the glass of the third picture you posted on this game page, and there are three doors that can be opened, but they are all blocked by laser pillars and cannot be entered. Excuse me, is this for a purpose or for decoration?

I have a question about the first level of the game.

Excuse me, can you make some melee weapons? Would you like to add a level by the way? For example, being a spy infiltrating an enemy base without being detected. If discovered, it will trigger an alarm and be pursued by others. How did you like it?

I'm probably going to do something similar to both of these things, I don't know if they'll be in the next update though.

About the replay system it impossible for player to play in the second level that need jet pack if u are playing in non-suit lol.

I did realize this, if playing with no suit the level is slightly altered to make it possible to complete.

I think you can try adding some new things, such as drones, traps and mechanisms, or robotic dogs. I am curious about what the protagonist's second stage looks like?

I'm working on adding new enemies, probably no traps and/or mechanisms. I've considered implementing higher weight levels if that's what you mean by "second stage", but I'm not sure if it would work.
