Version 0.13 Released | 1 Week Progress Update

Hello! It's been (slightly over) a week since I uploaded version 0.1, so here's an update on my progress since then.

This has been my biggest launch to date! Thanks for your feedback, your kind words and donations, and thanks for playing! This project is the result of 6 months of work on an actual project file and ~6 years of hobbyist game dev & 3D modeling experience. I've been working on parts of this game off and on since 2018, and somewhere along the way I found out making fetish content is the secret sauce that unlocks my productivity! It can feel strange sometimes to put so much work into something so undeniably niche, so I feel very validated by the outpouring of positivity for this project. Again, thank you.

Which brings me to the actual update! I've been working through my To-Do list starting with the technical & QoL stuff, and have gotten a modest amount done. I wasn't going to release an update before I have a new level, but there's a technically game-breaking bug in 0.12 so what the hell. Here's the changelog for v0.13:

  • fixed bug causing Json saves not to store the correct spawn point (which is only noticeable/game-breaking if you save & quit after re-entering the first zone from either of the upper doors, then quit & reload)
  • Fixed third-person camera collision with objects directly in front of you
  • Added "Reduce Head Bob" to Gameplay Options (limits head movement in First Person mode to the X/Z plane, at a fixed Y position)
  • Added "Force Third Person Interaction" to Gameplay Options (moves the camera to Third Person automatically when opening doors, pulling levers etc.)
  • Added rotational view
  • Added control remapping for most actions (excluding WASD/Arrow Keys/Left Stick movement & all mouse controls)
  • Added downward force to butt slam attack, and made it less effective before the apex of jumps

Now that this stuff is done I'll start working on actually adding new content for version 0.2. My living situation has become somewhat tumultuous recently which has slightly impacted my ability to work on the game, but I've still been making progress.

When 0.2 comes out, or maybe slightly before, I am strongly considering launching a Patreon or some other kind of subscription thing in order to help with the aforementioned tumultuous living situation, to help me maintain motivation, and to actually do some pre-launch playtesting so I (hopefully) don't have to spend 48 hours working on/worrying about a bugfix next time.

I'm not sure if I'll continue doing weekly updates. Or 9-day updates as the case may be. Rest assured, this is still the thing that is consuming most of my free time.

I hope your update won't take long.

Have you continued to update your game?

Can you finish the game update this weekend?

Hopefully slightly sooner than that, depending on how much time I have to work on it!

Will you add new monsters, weapons, and characters?

0.2 will have more weapons and a couple new enemies, and for the next one I'll try to develop more brand new stuff.

I'm not sure about new playable characters, it's possible that I could add alternate skins or something once more of the game is completed.

Thank you for telling me, it made me feel at ease. I have also played other games you created and they are all very good. I hope you continue to work hard!

May I ask, how long will your next update be?

I'm pretty much done with level 2 now, but there's still kind of a lot of stuff I want to add. The pace at which I've been able to work has slowed down a bit, it is extremely possible that it will take another week or two.

How long is it until your next update?

I didn't really want to provide an estimate I would just blow past when I posted this, but right now it's looking like at least another two weeks. Maybe more like a month in the worst case.

ok.
