The game really is fun and challenging, a little unbalanced or unfair in some parts, but i really like what is going with this, i would only suggest some things that i think could help the game or at least try it.
1: capability of devouring the enemies, or at least some types, gaining more energy but with a cooling time and maybe a minigame to make it, like pressing a key repeatedly to break the enemy defence and devour it.
2: being able to devour the slime creatures to gain endurance, but loss movility, having to empy ourselves in contaiment cells.
And someting i think could be helpfull, is that we dont lose our weapons between levels, mostly because of the amount of enemies we start to face, and the lack of guns to actually face them, or at least, dont loose our ammo.
and i would really suggest that the levels don't obligate to loose the acumulated energy in big amounts, or at least, that the energy could be gained more easely, like getting a bigger amount from enemies and other sources.
Holy shit they take cover, that is something i have heard time and time again is not very easy to implement. The hostiles take COVER FROM YOUR LINE OF FIRE ACTIVELY BEFORE STRAFING OUT TO ATTACK THEN RUN BACK TO COVER. HOLY SHIT
My one complaint thus far is you went too far on the eyes on the orca character, I'll continue to update this reply chain with whatever thoughts. This game makes me laugh a bunch though thus far (i just got on the satelite and am being introd to the funny lobster
It was when i got to the loop around over the catwalk so you could go to the fuel depot, i could find no way to progress, looked around the room there aint much for somehting to break the barred doors or the electric field door, and trying to go back to get the powerup i found that both the area beneath the catwalk and the transformer room are shut off. I think if i took the time to break everything when i first get the powerup i wouldnt have been stuck cause then i could have been able to successfully backtracked (maybe?)
It sounds like you might just need to use the keycard reader for the pod bay, you should already have the security keycard. There currently isn't any way to tell what items you have so it can be hard to figure out.
Given the little dialog for the gamma base in the little encyclopedia, somethin tells me that some form of messing about with these things may be included at a later point. Or maybe not and its just fun dialog.
Played the demo and ended up pacing doing parkour while chatting in a voice call (this might not sound like a major compliment but it is. to me.) The schmovement and atmosphere and sheer cool factor are so dope 10/10!
Definitely happening eventually! I'm adding a lot of stuff and a lot of things are happening in my life outside of gamedev right now. Still working on this pretty steadily, though.
I played the game. It was really fun (if a bit difficult, even on normal). As a weight-gain and inflation fan, I can feel myself warming up, wanting more.
I'm not sure! It might be a while, I want to add a lot of stuff and a lot of stuff is happening in my life right now. I'm definitely still working on this, though.
I like Blue Lobster... I like Blue Lobster very much indeed
I'm also curious what'll happen when both max fluid and max weight get reached! I can easily imagine our orca friend having to shift gears and start rolling instead of waddling, new movement mechanic & all... But that's just me spitballin', diddly doodly
I've definitely been considering some alternative means of locomotion. It seems kind of difficult to implement rolling, but that was also true of the fluid system... we'll see what happens!
Thanks! The exterior area is just a little atmospheric easter egg, it's not necessary for progression. It might not be obvious that you're supposed to hover across the wide gap in the big room with the tanks, since that's the first time you're required to do something like that.
this is an amazing game, i actually had lots of fun, the characters where simple yet creative and fun, the plot is goofy but in a good way, it has lots of charm and it plays really well, im really excited to see where this goes
I'm also looking forward to the full game, it's well done in terms of fat fetish. Keep up the good work, I hope you can finish the game in your time 😘👍
so for starters, this update is MASSIVE! I definitely see the effort and time that went into it. the new chapter is loads of fun and loving the new enemies and mechanics. Definitely the toughest minimal challenge yet. Still getting past the second mech encounter. Love to see the plot (and main character) thickening too. Super excited to see where this goes.
Just played through the update and if I'm being honest this is probably among one of my favorite fatfur games out there, up there with SFRPG, Squelchies, and Space Thumper. Love the Orca character, the dialogue, the run and gun gameplay, and, of course, the size play with the Biofuel mechanic and gradual gain. Although it's rough around the edges currently (those shrimp guys SUCK, plus was getting stuck in certain points), I can't wait to see what else you do with this, and will definitely give some funds to support it. Thank you for creating PEAK tehe
WRT shrimps: I guess it's pretty hard to make a flying enemy that isn't annoying. I sort of feel like it's a valid ecological niche, but also they could use a little something nerf-y. I might try and improve the anti-air melee game a bit.
And as the levels are getting more complex some kind of hint/objective system is probably warranted. Ideally also a map although that seems pretty difficult.
Yea, I caught onto using the tail attack quickly, but MAN they're a pain when you're not big enough to stun them.
And that's good, could be a little hard navigating but I caught on pretty quickly and after the first playthrough. I will say too that the surface level easter egg was a nice touch as well, would love to see a whole level with an aesthetic like that 🙏
I'd prefer that you didn't! The unused assets & systems in the current release are unfinished and will most likely be different in the final build. I'd rather keep the new systems a surprise & not share the half-baked stuff before it's ready. Thanks for asking.
great game! though i do have a bug to tell you about, when you replay a level with no suit you can't use the boosters needed to get past certain obstacles. for example, right after getting the suit on the first level you can't get to the platform after as a boost is required.
Thanks! When playing the first level with no suit you're supposed to do a mid-air tail spin to get up there, which I am now realizing is pretty non-obvious. I should probably add a pop-up or an extra platform or something. I remembered to make the second level beatable with no suit, at least.
pretty intriguing! definitely enjoyed the time spent with it, re-runs included. the AI's surprisingly fun to chase around, and everything else feels like it responds pretty tightly. the bigger sizes translate pretty well, too - that's a HUGE plus. I can't wait to see more of this! I'll keep a close eye on any updates in the future. much love!
Holy hell, I just played this and am having too much fun!
there is definitely some learning curve to it which could be mitigated by some more levels in the future that slow down and incrementally introduce specific movement, and maybe a way to better avoid incoming fire from enemies like a way to lean against walls and expose only a small portion of body, also that could be used as a disadvantage of getting larger~
Wonderful game and looking forward to future updates!~
Thanks! It's true there's not much in the way of a movement tutorial. Hopefully any future required platforming isn't too crazy.
In the 90s shooters this game is inspired by the cover system is "standing behind something", it's kind of grandfathered in. I've thought about making a more modern cover-based shooter before, but that's probably not the direction this project is going to go in. Will probably explore more size-related disadvantages though!
Surprised I haven't heard of this already- quite the competent game! The enemy animations look nice, the AI is competent, and shooting has good feedback. Lots of little things, that just feel correct.
If I was going to complain, I'd say the melee seems a little sluggish, since you can't move during the windup, hit, or reel back. I'd suggest a bit more range on the melee, and switching up the slowdown to be less interruptive to movement.
I'll look into implementing something like this, I might end up adding a single blending value for the lead-in to melee attacks so I don't have to add a curve to every animation.
Thanks! I think I can probably make the code enemies use to search for cover more efficient, and I recently realized the SMG & pistol models (which I made several years ago) have way too many polygons for some of the most numerous weapons.
I'm also going to look into adding bespoke options for the individual graphical settings, but until then lowering the quality present and/or resolution might help.
Can you please add more body epansion in this game?
Also i think in this game need more enemies on levels, bec we cant reach higher energy level from enemies. 66% on 1 level is too small... I thiink. And 14#% on level 2 is too small to. I think energy level which you can reach on level 1 is need to be 125%, and on level 2 is 250%. With more body expansion :3.
I will waiting for updates. :)
(P.S. Add please female gender for character, I mean do breasts and butts sliders bigger(need add butts sliders). and more body expansions :3. Thet all what i want to say. Have a nice day friend =). )
[Redacted: I donate you all what I have for now =). I'll be sure, you'll update game, and when I got time and money, I'll donate you more for this game ♥️. it's first time when I donate someone for game which I like =), wait for donate from me, I like this project more than all what I downloaded before... And have a nice day and mood!]
Larger sizes are happening in future updates, I don't think I'm going to add boob & butt sliders. I disagree that the energy levels are too small, that's... why I designed the game like that. Thanks for donating.
I feel that there should be a thing where the character moves slower at higher energy but everything else (health and regen, damage, defense (damage reduction)) increases
I compressed it using 7zip. You need to download 7zip (or WinRar or another archival utility) and extract the files, then you should be able to run the .exe.
Great game, though the game still drops frames heavily in some places, especially in the first room on the first map. Seems to be caused by the particles after smashing the water tank
That's definitely the cause, I forgot to fix this. Just uploaded a version that replaces the particles with a mesh, which should solve the frame rate issue there,
In all seriousness, the game as it stands is phenomenal. Gameplay is engaging, mechanics work pretty well and, from the available portion at least, is designed pretty well around the current limitations.
All in all, a very promising project! Will be keeping my eye on this one for sure.
Thanks! The basic idea is Half Life + MDK by way of e621. The soundtrack (which I did not make) is doing a ton of work to sell the late 90s shooter vibe.

Think i softlocked myself on level 3
That sucks! I'm glad you've been enjoying it thus far. Where are you at in level 3?
It was when i got to the loop around over the catwalk so you could go to the fuel depot, i could find no way to progress, looked around the room there aint much for somehting to break the barred doors or the electric field door, and trying to go back to get the powerup i found that both the area beneath the catwalk and the transformer room are shut off. is it possible to add a debug mode, i wanna see 100% fat and 100% biofuel while being macro
Given the little dialog for the gamma base in the little encyclopedia, somethin tells me that some form of messing about with these things may be included at a later point. Or maybe not and its just fun dialog.
I wasn't able to get it to run
That sucks! Did you extract the files from the .7z archive?
I didn't know i needed to do that, most of the other games i got on here dont need to be extracted
I hope we get a debug mode or a lobby like room so we can mess around with the weight gain/inflation mechanics in the game
Played the demo and ended up pacing doing parkour while chatting in a voice call (this might not sound like a major compliment but it is. to me.) The schmovement and atmosphere and sheer cool factor are so dope 10/10!
where's update?
Definitely happening eventually! I'm adding a lot of stuff and a lot of things are happening in my life outside of gamedev right now. Still working on this pretty steadily, though.
you rock! Keep doing what you gotta do! You take top priority!
nice. like the saying goes: slow and steady wins the race. take your time, bud, you're doing a fantastic job at balancing between the two
Thank you for the answer
General question. Does anyone know what the brick actually does? It appears in level 1 & 3 and appears as a ammo?
I played the game. It was really fun (if a bit difficult, even on normal). As a weight-gain and inflation fan, I can feel myself warming up, wanting more.
it would be cool to have more costumes, maybe even a combat suit v. 2.0.
Sounds fun to have. More options, the better.
when is the next update planned to come out?
I'm not sure! It might be a while, I want to add a lot of stuff and a lot of stuff is happening in my life right now. I'm definitely still working on this, though.
WOW thanks for answering my question! 🤩 I can't wait for when it does come out
This sounds so sarcastic, I didn't realise.
Didn't come off that way, sincerely :) thanks for enjoying my game!
don't feel pressure, your mental state and life always take priority over everything else
Take your time. I prefer you give us a stable update anyways. We can wait.

Sounds like fun. I’d like to inflate myself so much I need to roll around!
ngl its a good game still havent finished the 3rd level since, i have no clue where to go after going outside.
Id assume climbing the fence (judging from the messages on the pc) but i cannot for the life of me figure out how
Thanks! The exterior area is just a little atmospheric easter egg, it's not necessary for progression. It might not be obvious that you're supposed to hover across the wide gap in the big room with the tanks, since that's the first time you're required to do something like that.
Absolutely love this game! Can't wait to see more of it!

no level 4?
Working on it! It's probably going to take a while.
ok

Really impressed with what you've done so far, definitely a solid feeling game. Looking forward to seeing it completed!
Hello, I have found a way to create a "creative" or "god" mode in the game (but without modifying the code of the game)
(and, it also has spoilers for future game updates!)
(to the creator): can i explain it?
I'd prefer that you didn't! The unused assets & systems in the current release are unfinished and will most likely be different in the final build. I'd rather keep the new systems a surprise & not share the half-baked stuff before it's ready. Thanks for asking.
ok
I understand that the game is not done yet.
And that in the end it could be different but...
Your game is still super amazing so far.👍
And, i am happy just to know that the game is still being developed.
And , thanks for the reply.
do you still have this version, just without the spoilers?
great game! though i do have a bug to tell you about, when you replay a level with no suit you can't use the boosters needed to get past certain obstacles. for example, right after getting the suit on the first level you can't get to the platform after as a boost is required.

I feel that there should be a thing where the character moves slower at higher energy but everything else (health and regen, damage, defense (damage reduction)) increases
You have more momentum at higher energy. I think reducing movement speed generally feels pretty bad for most games, but especially action shooters.
Melee damage and damage reduction both increase as energy increases. It might be a bit subtle before 100%, though.
how do I open the file its in a format I don't recognize
I compressed it using 7zip. You need to download 7zip (or WinRar or another archival utility) and extract the files, then you should be able to run the .exe.

Am i mistaken or is there a way to go beyond 56% energy in level 1. I feel like i might be missing something there.
That's the maximum in the first level, yep. There's some secret stuff but not any extra energy.
Thank you for making this. I had a great time playing it :3
will this continue? it was really fun to play
Thanks! I'm working on the next level, it's possible that it will take a while.
gib more pls
In all seriousness, the game as it stands is phenomenal. Gameplay is engaging, mechanics work pretty well and, from the available portion at least, is designed pretty well around the current limitations.

Thanks! The basic idea is Half Life + MDK by way of e621. The soundtrack (which I did not make) is doing a ton of work to sell the late 90s shooter vibe.
This was really good actually, loved it. Wish you could get bigger though, lol, but I'm sure that'll come in future updates. Amazing so far though
this game was so good, i cannot wait for more to be added
I love this. Cant wait for more!
